Toyo Tires 2.5 Challenge Is Back at Thunderhill—and So Is the Chaos

The B-Sedan boys are back.

If last year’s Toyo Tires 2.5 Challenge at Thunderhill taught us anything, it’s this: don’t let the vintage plates fool you—these guys throw down.

In 2024, 17 classic warriors—BMW 2002s, Datsun 510s, and one or two surprises—lined up under moody NorCal skies and absolutely sent it. It was cold, it was damp, and it was everything you want from a historic race series founded by Troy and Ashley Irish. From flag to flag, it was all grip, guts, and vintage glory.

Tony Delane’s BMW took the win, but not without some serious pressure from ARA Malian and first-time 510 racer Jeff Mosing, who slid in from his IMSA background to give the Toyo crowd a proper fight. Meanwhile, defending champ Arman Garbani took us on a masterclass in car control—hanging it out through Turn 9 more than once and somehow keeping it out of the weeds.

Let’s not forget the sideways action, curb launches, and oh yeah—rain mid-race just to keep things spicy. Half the field drove like they had no idea it was slick, which, honestly, we respect.

So what’s the move this year?

You already know:

October 10–12, 2025 Thunderhill Raceway Park Willows, California

The Toyo Tires 2.5 Challenge returns with more cars, tighter racing, and probably the same broken taillights and bruised egos. Expect classic liveries, proper B-Sedan vibes, and some very Texas-spec commitment through the corners.

Come for the nostalgia. Stay for the sideways.
