Thunderhill Track Expansion Means Economic Impact
The expansion of Thunderhill race track west of Willows is expected to double the economic impact of the course to the area.
The new two-mile wing – Thunderhill West – was recently finished, expanding the existing three-mile course that opened in 1993 under current CEO David Vodden.
Vodden will host grand opening celebration with dignitaries at 6 p.m. Saturday, but racing starts at 9 a.m. Saturday with 150 racers competing in the Thunderhill Track Championship.
